John West

Partner and Head of Client Strategies, Research Affiliates

Mr. West is a partner, member of the board and head of client strategies at Research Affiliates, a subadvisor to PIMCO. He oversees the sales and marketing support functions for the firm’s network of affiliates to maximize the investor impact of Research Affiliates’ insights and products. Since joining the firm in 2006, John has also been actively involved in and led product management and numerous client service initiatives. Before joining Research Affiliates, Mr. West was a vice president and senior consultant at Wurts & Associates (now called Verus) and managed the firm's overall research effort, including the development of capital market assumptions, new asset class opinions, alternative investments, portfolio processes and spending policies. He is co-author of "The Fundamental Index: A Better Way to Invest," published in 2008, and holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Arizona.
